700R4 Automatic Transmission Installation
Yeah...This one is in the works. Right now it's sitting in my garage waiting for an
overhaul before it replaces the TH350 in my 1981 Corvette. This is what's involved:
- Overhaul 700R4
- Buy a new Torque Converter with higher stall speed
- Buy a mod to convert my 3speed shift to a 4speed ($100)
- Modify the transmission crossmember (move the mount back a few inches)
- Shorten the drive shaft by 3-4inches
- Install....
